We are a group of designers, engineers, doctors and entrepreneurs who have come together for the sole purpose of finding, creating and bringing better healthcare products, medical innovations and medical devices to life and making them available to the healthcare market. Our testing booths are only a recent example!
We are mission driven. We seek ideas for better healthcare solutions. Most new innovations come from within the medical community. Often a healthcare professional sees a better way to do something but struggles to find an effective way to take that idea from concept to reality. This is what we do. We take great ideas and create unique and innovative products and at times, even great companies.
HIP was founded in late 2019 by a team of five; two impatient doctors from Boston's MGH Hospital, two excitable product design gurus from Eleven, Inc. and a type A start-up business guy looking for something cool projects to work on.
So what's our why?
We founded HIP to seek out "needed now" healthcare innovations "stuck" inside the very institutions that need them and bring them to market FAST. We've all seen it and many have experienced it, "if only this would", "can't it just.." We love that dialog and welcome ideas and challenges that can bring efficiency and better outcomes in healthcare.
In early March 2020 as Covid appeared, we got a call from MGH/Partners asking for our help with their "PPE problem". How could we resist..and what the heck else were we going to do anyway?! Nine days later we had our first Covid-19 test booth deployed and on trial. We launched a company and got into the fight. Today we have over 8 indoor and outdoor testing / vaccination enclosures and two clinical trailer designs and a national manufacturing partnership. With the New Year upon us, we're getting back to the drawing board!
Modular Constructed Clinical Enclosures
HIP & DIRTT have joined together to make our booths available across North America. DIRTT's manufacturing and distribution allow us to ship and set-up booths quick and easily.
